Price includes: daily
lift tickets, multiple days of all day instruction from the NASTC trainers
in small groups, 1-2 dinners (depending on the course), video analysis,
tech talks, NASTC swag, and sponsor giveaways.
LODGING:NASTC has partnered with the Cedar House Sport Hotel in Truckee
(530-582-5655) to offer you the complete ski course vacation package.
The fusion of these two entities couldn't be more appropriate. While
NASTC is styled after the European ski school model, CHSH was inspired
by the intimate hospitality found at smaller family-run hotels in the
Alps. Both companies are fun by a husband/wife team, and place heavy
emphasis on one-on-one guest relations.
Here is a sample of what you can expect at a Tahoe course:
Day 1
Meet at 8:30am for an orientation, get lift tickets, meet your
trainer and the group. As soon as the lifts open, the group will go
out for a warm up run together. Then you will be split into small groups
with a trainer. You will work on the basics of balance and stance. The
group will break for lunch. In the afternoon, your trainer will video
tape you on the hill. After a fun day, the group will meet at the Tahoe
Center for Health & Sports Performance in Truckee to review your
video and do a tech talk. We will recommend some great restaurants in
town if the group would like to go out to dinner.
Day 2
Meet at the base of the mountain in the morning. Work on some
more ski technique, ski some different terrain and conditions. Each
person will receive individual feedback from their trainer and get a
lot of good mileage in throughout the day. After a lot of turns, the
group will meet again for a tech talk and then dinner is optional.
Day 3
Another great day with a fun group of people and great instructors.
The trainer will video tape you again on the hill. In the afternoon,
you will have a chance to review your video with your trainer.
Day 4
Another amazing day on the slopes. After a great day of turns and tech
talk, there will be a farewell dinner which is included. We will pick
one of the great restaurants in Truckee and have a raffle with sponsor
giveaways.
Day 5 or last day
Ski with your NASTC trainer one more day and really see
some improvement in your skiing. After a full day of skiing, you will
be on your way home. We hope to see you at another NASTC course again!
