Price includes 4 nights
of lodging in the Teewinot Lodge, daily breakfast, 2 days of catskiing
(and lunch on cat days), 2 day lift ticket, 4 days of instruction, 1

LODGING: You will be staying in The Teewinot Lodge in hotel style accommodations.
The Teewinot has a western design with lodge pole furnishings, hot tub,
and a fireplace in the main lobby. There are 2 beds per room and we
place you with another NASTC student, unless you would like to pay a
single supplement and upgrade to have your own room. Also let the NASTC
office know if you would like to stay an extra night at the lodge for
any reason. There is one full bath with bathtub, color TV, telephone,
and coffee maker. We will have breakfast and lunch in the deli or lodge
cafeteria and group dinners out at one of the restaurants at Targhee.
Here is what you can expect at Grand Targhee:
Day 1 February 9th
Travel Day, fly into Jackson or Idaho Falls and take a shuttle
to Grand Targhee, check into your room at the Teewinot Lodge, which
is right there at the base of the slopes and right next to the charming
little village. Once you check in, you will meet the group at the Trap
Bar for an orientation and eat some good food.
Day 2 February 10th
Meet in the morning to stretch with your NASTC trainer, then
have a nutritious breakfast at the buffet. You will get ready to go
and meet at the base of the slopes. You will be split into groups with
a NASTC trainer. You will work on some basic techniques, such as balance
and stance, and skiing in the powder. Your trainer will video tape you
on a couple runs. At the end of the day, you will get to review your
video and your trainer will go over it with you. A guide from the catskiing
operation will meet with you to go over some basics about catskiing.
The group will have a chance to clean up and meet for dinner.
Day 3 February 11th
You have the option to begin your day stretching with the NASTC trainer,
which we highly recommend. Then after the breakfast buffet, you will
get ready to go catskiing. You will meet there in the village, which
is a short walk from your room and meet the catskiing guides for the
day. The cat will pick up the group and go beyond the resort to find
some fresh powder. After a few amazing turns in the powder, the guides
will serve you some delicious, hot lunch. Then you will get to experience
some more powder turns. After a full day, the group will meet for an
afternoon tech talk with the NASTC trainer, then go for a nice dinner.
Day 4 February 12th
Another day of amazing catskiing in the powder!
Day 5 February 13th
Review what you have learned with your NASTC trainer at the resort.
You can choose to stay an extra night in Grand Targhee or take an afternoon
shuttle to the airport after skiing all day with your trainer.
