Biking is a great way to cross train for skiing. NASTC has been riding every week. If you are interested in riding contact the office and let them know if you want to ride. Or if if you will be passing through town let them know they can arrange for a ride.

I was just in Shasta and if you are planning on climbing the mountain this summer, it looks like it is August up there. The mountain does not have much snow on it. Prepare for dirt climbing if you do go. I can't believe how dry it is this year.

Sunday NASTC staff and others rode Dirty Harry's. This was a great ride, all single track lasting about 3 hours. The ride had great views of Lake Tahoe, Northstar, and Juniper Hills.

NASTC is always looking for folks interested in riding, give us a call.

I'm always up for riding! Coast Highway in San Diego is a mecca, and Encinitas (just up the road) is considered by many to be the triathlon capital of the world! One thing, though, it always seemed to me that cycling (at least road cycling) works much more on the hamstrings and never did much for my quads...
