The terminally curious gearhead strikes again!

I just received a new pair of twin tips, the limited edition Dynastar TroubleMaker (appropriate, huh?) and I noticed they have two mount centers on the top: Center and Standard. I understand that the Center mount point is better for spins and riding switch, but how much of an adverse effect do center mounted bindings have on regular (non-park) skiing? Is it even noticeable by ordinary mortals like me if I'm just cruising around on center mounted skis?

BTW - if you've never seen this particular model, it has "throwback" graphics similar to their Course series from the 80s, including an image of their "heart" vibration absorber on the tip (and tail). Should go good with my tie-dye jacket!
