| NASTC's specialized women's programs consist of unique clinics taught by our all-female instructional team. The team is composed of top female ski instructors handpicked for their hot skiing and exceptional coaching abilities. NASTC's specialized program will help you improve your technique on skis, rake in the miles and build up your self-confidence in a fun and welcoming environment. NASTC offers all you lady skiers out there the types of clinics where you can ski all day and push your boundaries and then end the day with a massage and champagne/wine tasting or by a cooking lesson/dinner followed by Salsa or Swing dancing lessons. The NASTC Women's Specialty Programs are designed to help you make the most out of your girls' weekend on the snow. Each course will have it's own uique "after-party," you will be challenged while out on the slopes and then enjoy a fun and relaxing evening among friends old and new. Our goal is to make sure that you have a great time on and off the snow! These courses are for you if you are an advanced or expert skier who wants to charge and be challenged or if you are an intermediate skier comfortable on blue and some black terrain and looking to ski more of the mountain. Skiers will be divided into groups according to skier level and goals with no more than six skiers per trainer. Why take a women's specific course? Training with other women allows you to meet other women with the same abilities and challenges allows for an opportunity to conquer and make new breakthroughs together. Women's clinic have a special camaraderie that you just don't get in a co-ed group.

of 500 inches of snowfall per year. This fun and friendly mountain has
lots of hidden gems. Rip around Sugar Bowl Resort with your trainer,
watch yourself ski on video and then change out of your ski gear for
a fun evening of champagne and/or wine tasting and tasy appetizers.
Equipment Suggestions: All Mountain or Carving skis Explore beautiful Squaw Valley under the watchful guidance of your tainer and with the support of a group of fun loving gals. Spend the day learning how to conquer the steeps, chutes and powder filled open faces that Squaw Valley is famous for or improve your turns and confidence on Squaw's seemingly endless cruisers. Kick off the evening with a cooking lesson/dinner at the Cedar House Sport Hotel and round off the night with some Salsa or Swing dancing fun.

Hotel - Mention that you are attending a NASTC course and your will
receive the preferred rate. Transportation Recommendations: The closest airport to Lake Tahoe is the Reno, NV airport. We recommend renting a 4WD vehicle, as the weatehr can be unpredictable in the Sierras. If you do not wish to rent a car, you can take a shuttle from the airport to your hotel. Please inquire with the NASTC office for carpooling opportunities. Directions to Sugar Bowl: From Sacramento & Bay Area - Take I-80 East, exit the freeway at the Hwy 40/Norden/Soda Springs exit. You will want to pull into the second parking lot that puts you at the base of Juday Lodge, NOT the Village Lodge. From Reno- Take I-80 West. Exit Donner Pass Rd. to the left. Continue straight through the stop sign, Donner Lake will soon be on your left, follow the road to the end of the lake. Continue straight past the lake, the road will begin to climb as you ascend towards the summit. Once you have reached the top you will pass Sugar Bowl Academy on your left, the next left around the bend is the entrance to the Judah Lodge parking lot. Directions to Squaw Valley: From Sacramento & Bay Area- Take I-80 East, and exit the freeway at the HWY 89 south exit towards So. Lake Tahoe, Tahoe City, and Squaw Valley. Follow Highway 89 south 8 miles to the Squaw Valley Rd. exit. Turn right and follow Squaw Valley Rd. to the base of the mountain. From Reno- Take I-80 west into California and on to Truckee. Take the Highway 89 south exit towards Lake Tahoe/Tahoe City/ Squaw Valley. Follow Highway 89 south 8 miles to the Squaw Valley Rd. exit. Turn right and follow Squaw Valley Rd. to the base of the mountain.
"Cuz, girls, just wanna have fun!" The North American Ski Training Center (NASTC) and Ski Diva have put together a specialty ski training course where you will be able to join some of the top female trainers in the country for a women's ski adventure in Lake Tahoe, CA. NASTC's all women team of instructors has been chosen for the caliber of their coaching abilities, skiing and their ability to create an atmosphere of fun while learning new skills. This three day course will involve a series of individually-tailored drills and exercises designed to get you off that intermediate or advanced plateau and skiing the entire mountain well, whatever the conditions. Skiers can expect to become more graceful and fluid on the slopes and develop greater confidence and control. Instruction is tailored to the level of each skier. Skiers will find themselves appropriately challenged; NASTC excels in coaching women to new levels of their skiing without "scaring their socks off." Ladies, these three days are about you. You will receive personalized coaching that will help you make breakthroughs in your skiing and you will be able to relax and get away from it all and rejuvenate your soul in the beauty of Lake Tahoe! |
