NASTC's 02-03 season finished off perfectly in beautiful Portillo, Chile. The conditions were spring-like, with "hard-packed" to perfect spring corn. "Another fantastic training week where everyone improved and made breakthroughs," said trainer Mike Hafer. Chris Fellows and Victor Gerdin were the other trainers leading the 3 groups this week.

We were also fortunate to have Jim Schaffner - expert Boot and Ski Technician - join us to consult with each skier about their equipment. We
all learned - it's not the person, it's the equipment that causes the problems! Many in the group will see Jim when they get home for some expert boot fitting and adjustments. This is something you can book during any Tahoe-based NASTC course too!

Portillo days go like this: up at 7am for stretching (yes most everyone made it daily!), ski 5-6 hours a day, eat 4 times a day, attend a tech talk
on topics varying from tactics to dryland training, swim/hot tub, anoint the next Ping Pong Pro, sweat ourselves silly playing indoor soccer, listen to a Chilean "Elvis" and the other greats in the bar and disco, and practice our "Speedy Spanish." All left with new ski abilities, confidence all over the mt., big bellies, and smiling faces. And of course, it was as usual, a wonderful group of fun-loving, good-skiing clients!

NASTC's Calendar of Courses is updated on this website. The rest of the site is being updated as we speak. New destinations and courses include: Verbier, Switzerland, Silverstar, Canada, and a 2-day Boot and Ski Technical Tune-Up. We will also be hosting our 4 favorite Tahoe resorts, Big Sky, MT, and Whistler...just to name a few! Sign up now, people are already calling or emailing. We now take credit cards!
