Portillo, Chile Update August 18-28, 2006

Everyone arrived into sunny Santiago excited to see the white capped Andes in the background. As we got on the bus and drove towards Portillo, we could see Aconcagua. The view of the Andes and the river running by us was spectacular. Then we got to the switchbacks, which is an adventure in itself. We made it to Portillo and got on our skis! They had received a couple of meters of snow in the recent weeks - plenty to enjoy! The weather was great all week, so we got some great skiing in.

"Riding up Roca Jack was just as thrilling as skiing down!" -Judy

"NASTC said the only way to become a better skier is to ski more. Total immersion ski training with NASTC trainers launches you to the next plateau." - Brian

What really made this NASTC course great were the clients! And Portillo is unique from any of the ski resorts in the world. You have to experience the friendly atmosphere of Portillo for yourself. The staff there will take care of your every need. The food is amazing. There are not too many resorts like this where you really get to know the people there.

Join NASTC next year in Portillo for another fun experience. August 17-27, 2007

Once again this magical place affected us to the core. The peaks surrounding us and in our view at every turn touched a place in these skiers' souls that you cannot not find every ski day. We have been lucky enough to call Portillo our summer home for 13 years now.
