Finish the Season Strong!

14 Mar 2013, Posted by Ski NASTC in Latest News

Some of you skiers out there, may have given up on the season already even though the resorts haven’t closed their doors yet.  It’s not hard to do, the temperatures are warming up, the time change makes the days longer and your bikes are calling or the temptation to do anything else but get up to the mountains.  You may be doing your skiing a disservice.  There is still time to get coaching and make changes in your skiing and get some mileage practicing those new movement patterns.  Here is a good article from ski racing magazine about the post mid-season blues and how to beat them and make the most out of every day that remains with chair lifts spinning.  http://www.skiracing.com/?q=node/21803.  We often tap out of the season, just as we are on the cusp of solidifying a change.  If you allow yourself to stick with it for a little bit longer you will be surprised at how well you will ski not only the last few days the resorts are open but even at the start of next season.  If that’s not motivation enough to get you out on the mountain, check out all the fun spring events at your local resort.  Spring is usually a festive time of year at the resorts with lots of fun events and the overall leisurely and fun atmosphere.
